Marcus Koehler, TU Dresden
Marcus Köhler has been a professor of the History of Landscape Architecture and Garden Monument Preservation at the Technical University of Dresden since 2014.
After studying art history, journalism, German and educational science at the Free University and the Technical University of Berlin. He received his doctorate from Russia at the FU in 1997 with a thesis on Johann Busch, the plant trader and court gardener Katharinas II, from Russia. 1996-1998 he was employed at the Institute for Green Planning and Garden Architecture at the University of Hanover as a research assistant, from 1998-2014 he was the owner of Professorship at the Neubrandenburg University of Applied Sciences.
He has published publications on the history of gardens, such as recently with Christoph Haase, The Gardens of Peter Joseph Lennés in Today's Poland. A search for traces beyond Oder and Neisse, Wettin-Löbejün 2016. In addition, he also publishes on general topics of art and architectural history and has presented numerous relevant reports on art-historical objects.
